Role Purpose
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 48 Vandalism Team Member with proven RF and Microwave experience to support network protection, fault response, and restoration activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to vandalism incidents at network sites.
- Perform RF and microwave link inspections and basic fault finding.
- Assist with restoration of damaged network equipment.
- Conduct site audits and report risks or security breaches.
- Work closely with field technicians and network teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Complete reports and documentation accurately and on time.
Job Requirements
- Matric.
- Valid South African driving license.
- Clear criminal record.
HSE Competency Requirements
- Valid occupational medical for driving and working at heights.
- Valid Gravity Fall Arrest and Basic Rescue certification.
- Valid Gravity Rope Rigging certification.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficient in the use of RF/microwave test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, power meters, site masters).
- Strong understanding of antenna systems, feeders, grounding, and lightning protection.
- Ability to work at heights, in outdoor environments , on rooftops, or remote telecom sites.
- Physically fit and able to lift equipment and work on-site.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
